A speedy recovery after robotic surgery is greatly facilitated by close attention to diet, exercise and lifestyle modifications. In the following sections, we describe the care that one has to take after surgery to ensure a safe and rapid recovery.
We begin with Kegel or pelvic floor exercises, which should ideally be started before robotic prostate cancer surgery. They are an essential component of post surgical care, which helps in the early recovery of urinary control after surgery. They should be restarted after removal of urinary catheter and continued till a full recovery of urinary control is achieved.
